How our emails work

Every card Wish Angel delivers follows these rules. Cards are delivered by email only — we do not send text messages.

Consent first. A card can only be sent to someone after the sender confirms, with a required checkbox, that the recipient personally welcomes cards from them. We never email strangers and never send marketing.
Every card says who it's from. The subject and sender name the human it's from — e.g. a subject of “birthday card from Alex”, sent as “Alex via Wish Angel”, with replies going straight to Alex.
A person is always behind it. Three days before an occasion we write the card and notify the sender, who chooses in the app whether we deliver it or they will. Every recipient was added by someone who confirmed the recipient welcomes their cards, and every card names that sender.
Opting out is instant and permanent. Use the opt-out link on every card page. Opted-out addresses are never emailed again, by anyone, across the whole service.
Low volume. A recipient gets a card on their occasion — typically one or two emails per year.
